1 . Pune blast: Role of IM not ruled out, Govt wants Headley access

Investigators were piecing together clues to unravel the identity of terror group behind the Pune bomb blast and the role of Indian Mujahideen (IM) is not being ruled out, as India renewed the demand for access to US terror suspect David Headley.

No arrests have been made in the attack in which officials said the deadly RDX and Ammonium Nitrate were suspected to have been used.

15 MLAs from Telangana region submit resignation to Speaker
Rejecting the Terms of reference of the Sri Krishna Comm appointed to go into the issue of separate statehood, 15 MLAs from the Telangana region, including those of the ruling Congress, today submitted their resignation to Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker.

No fuel price hike for now
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Oil Minister Murli Deora on Sunday discussed an "all-acceptable" hike in fuel prices but it appeared the two failed to reach a consensus and the fuel price hike may not happen immediately

Five militants killed in US drone attack
At least five suspected militants were killed and four others injured in a US drone attack in the lawless North Waziristan tribal region in northwest Pakistan on Sunday.

Pak seeks civil nuclear deal with EU
The European Union should treat Pakistan at par with India and accord it the same access in civil nuclear technology as given to New Delhi, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said.
